Summer Academy for Social Media Trainers
The Opening Up project is organising a Summer Academy for Social Media Trainers in Local & Regional governments and businesses at the Hanzehogeschool Groningen.
The program is a Train the Trainer program for those who are already involved in social media and foresee or aspire a leading role regarding the use of social media in local governments. It is offered in a 4 day program, comprising lectures, workshops and discussions. Students will be trained by experts in the field and work on cases relating to their own organizations. The work will be assessed (after passing) and students will receive an official certificate.
The four main topics are
- Policy and Strategy: (Social media within the specific context of local government & local audiences anno 2013)
- Services: (Using social media for a client friendly local government)
- Engagement: (Involving the local public)
- “What’s in it for us?”: ( ROI, accountability, monitoring)
